About W.E.L.Safe

We're There For You

W.E.L.Safe CIC is a not-for-profit community interest company dedicated to harm reduction, education, and well-being within the night-time economy and beyond. Founded in 2017, we specialize in providing welfare support, real-life education, and training to help individuals make informed choices, reduce risks, and stay safe. We believe that everyone deserves access to non-judgmental, compassionate, and practical support—whether at a festival, in an educational setting, or within the community. Our work bridges the gap between people, services, and safer experiences.

“There’s no judgement, we offer people a safe space, and the support that they need, and maybe a bit of education to make a better decision next time.“

Gemma Bennet - Founding Director

Our mission is to provide non-judgemental support for people within the night-time economy and beyond. To provide real life education to young people enabling them to make informed choices, reducing harm and risk-taking behaviours. Alongside providing learning, training and mentored opportunities to up skill our wider community, creating champions to address issues affecting us all.

Our vision is to create safer spaces at all events across the UK and overseas, giving people access to support around substances, mental health, well-being and sexual health. We want people to have access to support at events to enable them to have the best possible experiences. To reach out to more young people and give them the best education to reduce harm and provide more training to volunteers, parents and professionals around event welfare and the issues affecting vulnerable people within our communities
